Visit us on our Stand 2-461 in Hall 2 between November 23 - 25 and see advantages of our HighTorque Brakes.
JMB at 2nd International Trade Fair for Electric Mobility - eCarTec 2010 in Munich, October 19 - 21, hall B5 stand 115
Between 19th and 21st JMB presented new series of electromagnetic spring-applied brakes - series HighTorque Brakes.
The JMB range of electromagnetic spring-applied brakes is being expanded with the new series of HighTorque Brakes. This series has been specifically developed for direct drives applications. We used unique patent applied system to minimize length and weight of the brake, but enlarge torque at the same time; to be able working as a holding or dynamic brake in many different braking systems. The designs it self’s allows us assembly on Direct Drives Motors ‘DDM’, in-wheel motors, torque motors but servo, asynchronous and synchronous motors as well.
In order to expand our sales network overseas we seek sales partners in the following countries:

JMB developed new series of:
CADDYPERM - Permanent magnet brake / Electromagnetic Power Off Brake - designed for industrial and mobile applications; are brakes that operate according to the following principles: in current less state a frictionally engaged connection of shafts is created through permanent magnet brakes. When current is applied the magnetic field of the permanent magnet is neutralized by the counteracting magnetic field of the coil. Brake force is produced via magnets which reduce both size and weight of brake versus spring applied brakes. Armature is mounted via springs which eliminates backlash. Brakes can be tuned to provide a controlled stop.
Rare earth magnet materials guarantee a high temperature resistance (ISO class F) and a wide operating temperature range (20 – 100° C) for safe operation. Permanent magnet brakes can be offered with a round or square flange to apply in servo motors or as a back-side mounted version. Nine different sizes are available. Output assemblies easily modified to fit your application - different armatures are available.Standard voltage of JMB CADDYPERMSeries is 24 V DC. Different voltages are available!
HIGH TORQUE COMPACT DESIGN Because permanent magnets are used versus springs, the overall size of the brakes is smaller for a given torque size. Because the brakes are smaller, their weight is also less, which can be an advantage in some applications.
CONTROLLED STOP Since torque is directly controlled by flux, a brake can be tuned to provide a softer stop in an application versus having full torque applied.
EASILY CUSTOMIZED FOR YOUR APPLICATION Both the mounting flange and the output hub and armature assembly can be easily modified to fit your existing application.
ZERO BACKLASH TheJMB CADDYPERM Series of Brakes have a spring mounted armature, which eliminates backlash in the brake.
NO DRAG TORQUE When brakes are released, an airgap is present which completely releases the armature resulting in zero drag.
HIGH OPERATING TEMPERATURES The standard magnetic material used in the brakes can accommodate temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius. If an application requires it, special material is also available on some sizes to accommodate higher temperatures.
Power by 20?C
JMB developed and instaled new series of:
BEA - Electromagnetic actuated tooth clutch with non flux traversed large teeth. For dry operation. Shaft clutch with 2 sliprings, engaged by spring force and released by magnetic force. Torque up to 200.000 Nm. Standard voltage 110 V DC. Type of application: heavy machine industry, rolling mills, etc.
